We are currently seeking Guitar Instructors to work Saturdays 10am-2pm at our Ballantyne south Charlotte - studio. Applicants must currently live within a 40-minute commute (maximum) of the studio and will be taking over a full schedule from an existing instructor. A minimum daily schedule of 4 hours and commitment of at least 12 months is required.
Music degree is not necessary, but previous teaching experience is requested. Solid understanding of music theory and ability to read and teach standard notation is also required. Performance experience and ability to teach multiple instruments, particularly piano, is a plus. Opportunities to substitute for instructors may also be available, if a long-term commitment is not possible.
Please submit your musician resume and be specific about how long you have been teaching, all instruments which you can teach at a beginner/intermediate level, and to which experience level you can teach piano.
*** Note that resumes which show no evidence of teaching experience and individuals who do not live within a 30- to 45-minute commute of our teaching studios will not be considered or responded to. A phone interview will be arranged with qualified candidates, followed by an in-person interview with owner.
